The Digital Learning Team, part of SFUSD's Department of Technology, leads professional learning, coaching, program development, and content creation centered on technology-enabled 21st-century learning. We enable educators to leverage technology for equity of opportunity, towards SFUSDs goals of disrupting systemic inequalities through a culturally responsive and anti-racist approach that supports the district's Vision, Values, Goals, and Guardrails.
Earn while you learn! For teachers and paraprofessionals who attend sessions after their contractual hours, these sessions can count towards your 18 FWEA paid, professional development hours, as long as you receive approval from your site administrator. For DLeaF teacher-leaders, you may claim up to 12 hours of session attendance towards your DLeaF Opportunities compensation, instead.

Session Description: Storytelling is a powerful tool for helping multilingual learners build confidence, practice speaking, and use their language skills in authentic ways. In this hands-on session, educators will explore how to leverage Adobe Express to support multilingual learners in various grade levels and subject areas. By integrating video, audio, and visual elements, participants will learn ways to guide students in using multimedia projects to enhance language skills and build community in meaningful and personal ways.
This session will focus on providing multilingual learners with opportunities to use language in authentic contexts. Whether students are narrating personal experiences, sharing cultural stories, or explaining academic concepts creatively, Adobe Express offers an accessible platform for students to confidently share their voices.

Session Description: "In this hands-on session, educators will explore how to guide students in creating meaningful and visually engaging cover art in Adobe Express. Whether they're recording podcasts in Ethnic Studies, designing book covers for a personal narrative in English class, or curating an album for Women's History Month, adding visuals to their project will increase student engagement and help promote their materials to viewers (like you!).
Teachers will learn how to guide students to easily incorporate symbolism, meaningful imagery, and unique fonts into their designs using Adobe Express. By the end of the session, teachers will be ready to support students in creating cover art that reflects their personal voices and unique perspectives. Get ready to help your students bring their projects to life! "
