The San Francisco Department of Children, Youth, and their Families (DCYF) in partnership with the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) is pleased to announce the creation of the Student Success Fund Advisory Council (SSFAC).

The SSFAC is a unique opportunity for passionate individuals to actively contribute to the formation, growth and development of the Student Success Fund. This advisory council will serve as a platform for fostering collaboration, sharing diverse perspectives, and providing valuable insights to shape the future of this initiative.

Yesterday, district staff and the Board of Education held a discussion about the current state of our schools and what steps we need to take to make them a better place for our students.

Construction is underway on Shirley Chisholm Village, a new affordable housing development that will prioritize SFUSD educators and employees. Applications are expected to be available in early 2024.  Facilities staff will be bringing posters and flyers to schools and administrative sites.

SFUSD’s Foster Youth Services Coordinating Program (FYSCP) is now accepting referrals for tutoring for students in foster care.

Planning a field trip this school year? You might need meals to go along with it. Make sure to plan ahead and follow these instructions when ordering field trip meals.

Teachers, use the Multilingual Learner Class Rosters Illuminate Report to generate class rosters that display data about multilingual students in your classes.

Inspiring Young Emerging Leaders (I-YEL) is hiring high school interns, where they learn the skills necessary to be stronger leaders in their community through community involvement, project based learning and outdoor trips. Apply by Sept. 13.
