On Wednesday, March 19th, your student’s designs and work will be on display at our 8th annual MLK STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) night! We are requiring that all MLK students attend* STEAM night, so they can present, share, showcase and engage families and community members with what they have been working on and learning. We will have a MLK Cobra Band Performance, projects showcase and more! 

Dear Parents and Guardians,

For the past few weeks, MLK students have been working on various projects in their classes: creating podcasts, developing art pieces, balancing budgets, demonstrating energy changes, and crafting written essays, to name just some of the projects.

On Wednesday, March 19th, your student’s designs and work will be on display at our 8th annual MLK STEAM night! We are requiring that all MLK students attend STEAM night* so they can present, share, showcase and engage families and community members with what they have been working on and learning.

We invite YOU and your family to come see and learn from the students of MLK! There will be interactive stations, displays, and musical performances as well as FOOD for all who attend!

*If your student cannot attend STEAM night for at least 30 minutes between 4:30-6:00 pm on Wednesday March 19th, please write us a letter excusing their absence and have them turn it in to their Advisory teacher. Students who attend are earning credit towards their grade. Students who cannot attend will have an alternative assignment to complete for credit.

3 月 19 日星期三，您學生的設計和作品將在我們第八屆 MLK STEAM（科學、技術、工程、藝術、數學）之夜展出！我們要求所有 MLK 學生參加* STEAM 之夜，以便他們可以展示、分享、展示他們一直在做和學習的事情，並讓家人和社區成員參與其中。我們將有 MLK 眼鏡蛇樂隊表演、項目展示等等！

親愛的家長和監護人，

在過去的幾周里，MLK 學生一直在課堂上從事各種專案：製作播客、開發藝術作品、平衡預算、展示能源變化和撰寫書面論文，這些只是其中的一些專案。

3 月 19 日星期三，您的學生的設計和作品將在我們第八屆年度 MLK STEAM 之夜上展出！我們要求所有 MLK 學生參加 STEAM 之夜*，以便他們可以展示、分享、展示他們一直在做和學習的事情，並讓家人和社區成員參與其中。

我們邀請您和您的家人前來參觀並向 MLK 的學生學習！將會有互動站、展覽、音樂表演以及美食供所有參與者享用！

*如果您的學生無法參加 3 月 19 日星期三下午 4:30-6:00 之間至少 30 分鐘的 STEAM 之夜，請給我們寫一封缺席信，並請他們把信交給他們的指導老師。參加的學生將獲得學分。不能參加的學生將有其他作業來完成以獲得學分。

El miércoles 19 de marzo, los diseños y trabajos de sus estudiantes se exhibirán en nuestra 8.ª Noche STEAM (Ciencia, Tecnología, Ingeniería, Artes y Matemáticas) anual de MLK. Requerimos que todos los estudiantes de MLK asistan* a la Noche STEAM para que puedan presentar, compartir, mostrar e involucrar a las familias y miembros de la comunidad con lo que han estado trabajando y aprendiendo. ¡Tendremos una presentación de la Banda Cobra de MLK, una exhibición de proyectos y mucho más!

Estimados padres y tutores:

Durante las últimas semanas, los estudiantes de MLK han estado trabajando en varios proyectos en sus clases: crear podcasts, desarrollar obras de arte, equilibrar presupuestos, demostrar cambios en el consumo de energía y redactar ensayos, por nombrar solo algunos.

El miércoles 19 de marzo, los diseños y trabajos de sus estudiantes se exhibirán en nuestra 8.ª Noche STEAM (Ciencia, Tecnología, Ingeniería, Artes y Matemáticas) anual de MLK. Requerimos que todos los estudiantes de MLK asistan a la Noche STEAM* para que puedan presentar, compartir, exhibir e involucrar a las familias y miembros de la comunidad con lo que han estado trabajando y aprendiendo.

¡Los invitamos a USTEDES y a su familia a venir a ver y aprender de los estudiantes de MLK! Habrá estaciones interactivas, exhibiciones y presentaciones musicales, ¡y también COMIDA para todos los asistentes!

*Si su estudiante no puede asistir a la Noche STEAM por al menos 30 minutos entre las 4:30 y las 6:00 p. m. del miércoles 19 de marzo, por favor, escríbanos una carta justificando su ausencia y pídale que la entregue a su maestro asesor. Los estudiantes que asistan obtendrán créditos para su calificación. Los estudiantes que no puedan asistir tendrán una tarea alternativa que completar para obtener créditos.
