Located in the SF Sunset district since 1954, A.P. Giannini Middle School; under the namesake of the founder of Bank of America, has maintained a tradition of excellence for over 60 years.  A.P. Giannini expects to advance the intellectual, social, emotional and physical development of all its students through a core curriculum of   English, Math, Science, History, PE and Arts in a safe and supportive environment.

Bid Amount (Hard Cost):  $27.2M

Project Description

Modernization of existing campus classroom building, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Voluntary seismic strengthening
  • Access compliance including, but not limited to: Accessible path of travel to accessible building entrance, accessible staff restrooms, accessible casework
  • Fire and life safety work including new clock/speaker & public address system and upgrades to the existing fire alarm system
  • Lighting, finish upgrades, and window shade replacement at classrooms
  • Modernization of the kitchen and cafeteria
  • Replacement of roofing on all buildings
  • Interior and exterior painting at all buildings
  • Reprogramming of the building front entry and administrative offices​
