DRDP Overview
The DRDP is an assessment instrument developed by the California Department of Education for children and their families. The DRDP is designed for teachers to observe, document, and reflect on the learning, development, and progress of all children. The assessment results are intended to be used by the teacher to plan curriculum for individual children and groups of children, and to guide continuous program improvement.
Continuing in 2024-25: Transitional Kindergarten students will be assessed using the PK Fundamental DRDP instead of the K instrument used in prior years.
