With 53 CTE programs at 14 high schools, CTE students prepare for jobs ranging from Biotech to Culinary to Engineering. Across all Programs, students are developing their technical skills while also cultivating career skills like critical thinking, initiative, flexibility, public speaking, and leadership.

CTE programs amplify the talents of our diverse San Francisco youth, build empathy and strength across difference, and leverages languages to create a competitive talent pool for high-wage careers in the Bay Area.
CTE programs offer a two to three-year course sequence where students can explore their interests and accelerate their preparedness for a career field.
CTE program curriculum uses project-based learning to investigate current issues and create dynamic solutions aligned to Bay Area industry practices.
CTE programs include the practice and master of specific technical skills such as welding, energy auditing, and coding. CTE students earn technical certifications such as ServSafe, CPR, OSHA, and Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).
CTE programs focus on workforce readiness by sharpening students’ power skills in collaboration, networking, and project management.
CTE programs offer aligned community college classes so students can earn college credit before graduating high school.
CTE programs bring the industry into the classroom, and get students out into the workforce! CTE classes are taught by industry professionals - chefs, architects, and entrepreneurs - and supported by local companies who keep learning fresh and industry-relevant.
