4How Central Office Staff supports school sites during an Emergency: Virtual Emergency Operations Center, Joint Information Centers and Crisis Communications.Greg Markwith Laura Dudnick, Wilson Chu, Facilities & Operations DivisionEmergency Operations Centers (E.O.C.s) & Joint Information Centers (J.I.C.s) are used to organize Central Office resources in response to and in support of, an incident at district sites. The E.O.C. is set up virtually using g-chat and adheres to specific protocols at the direction of an E.O.C. Director, who is responsible for ensuring that the appropriate resources are deployed to sites as quickly, and effectively as possible.
