Independence High School welcomes students with special needs. We have two special educators who work full-time with our students in the Resource Specialist Program (RSP). RSP students meet with their IEP case manager weekly and attend general education classes.
For students needing a higher level of service we offer a Counseling-Enriched Classroom (CEC). Students in the CEC attend morning or afternoon classes with CEC teachers and also work closely with dedicated therapists and a social worker.
