Hello, I am Teresa Chow. I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Hong Kong. I completed my undergraduate studies in Business Marketing and got my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University, Pomona. Years later, I received my Master's degree in Education at Concordia University, Irvine. I called San Francisco my home since November 2017. Prior to moving here and joining CIS, I've taught 4th and 5th grades in the greater Los Angeles area for many years. I have many wonderful memories of doing different projects with my students and also bringing my gifted and talented students to participate in various Los Angeles County-level competitions. I truly enjoy teaching and nurturing young lives. It is such a joy to see children getting those sparkles of joy in learning and becoming more mature throughout the years. I am excited in taking on the new challenges of teaching the children and partnering with their parents at Chinese Immersion School.
When I am not teaching, I like to take photographs, do crafts and paintings, travel, and spend time with friends and family. I look forward to getting to know both you and your child as we learn and grow together throughout the year! Please feel free to contact me at any time through email or in person.

I am Cara Lun, a native Cantonese speaker. I was born and raised in Guangzhou, China. Due to my exceptional academic performances in Chinese literacy, my teachers encouraged me to tutor my classmates. Therefore, I enjoyed the feeling of teaching. When I was a teacher in a Chinese elementary school, I felt honored to be able to teach. From then on, I knew teaching is my life career. This year is my ninth year teaching.
As an educator, I believe every child is capable of learning. Hence, my teaching philosophy is to create a happy and safe environment for my students. I dedicate my time to help children to be actively engaged with school life and enjoy participating in age-appropriate activities with me.
I love to spend time traveling around the world and playing board games together with my family. It is my greatest honor to join the CIS community. I look forward to building a close relationship with you as we work together to ensure your child’s success!

Hello! I’m Nancy Wong and I am so excited to be a part of the CIS family. I attended the University of San Francisco and received my Master’s in Teaching. My love for teaching and working with children continued to grow as I worked in different schools around the city. I have experience with teaching 4th graders all the way up to 8th graders. I have learned so much about how to connect with students both from my mentor teachers and the kids themselves. I believe in creating a classroom space that will encourage students to be independent lifelong learners.
I grew up right here in San Francisco and attended Robert Louis Stevenson Elementary School, AP Giannini Middle School, and Lowell High School. When I’m not in the classroom I enjoy spending time with my family, playing video games, and making art. I’m excited to contribute and be a part of your community!
