Third Grade students at Flynn Elementary School will get a hands-on computer science lesson to celebrate the beginning of Computer Science Education Week. The class will be taught in Spanish, highlighting how students in SFUSD are able to learn CS skills in ways that are accessible and culturally relevant to their everyday lives.

The San Francisco Unified School District’s (SFUSD) graduation rate rose to 89% for the 2018-19 school year, according to new data released today by the California Department of Education (CDE) School Dashboard. SFUSD also continued to show improvement trends for college and career readiness.

The San Francisco Board of Education approved a resolution Tuesday night in support of prioritizing Latinx student success and eliminating disparities between Latinx student achievement and other student groups. The resolution also calls for the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) to develop strategies to improve school environments and support systems for Latinx students.
