The San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) remains committed to delivering a new school in Mission Bay – a vision over two decades in the making, on a lot that was designated for a public school in the 1998 Mission Bay Redevelopment Plan.

The San Francisco Board of Education adopted its 2024-27 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and $1.3 billion total operating budget for SFUSD for the 2024-25 school year on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

The San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) has launched summer learning programs for more than 16,000 students – serving 5,000 more students than last summer – at more than 40 schools across San Francisco. Programs are presented in partnership with the City and various community-based organizations for students in grades PK-12.

SFUSD is among Bay Area districts awarded $1.2 million in state funding to provide tuition assistance for up to 88 aspiring school leaders from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue an advanced degree and administrative credential with the Principal Leadership Institute and Leadership Support Program.
