Understanding that when educators live in the community in which they work it promotes school stability, community involvement and stronger ties between teachers and families in the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD), the SF Board of Education approved a resolution to establish policies and procedures to potentially develop more affordable housing for educators on its properties.
Third Grade students at Flynn Elementary School will get a hands-on computer science lesson to celebrate the beginning of Computer Science Education Week. The class will be taught in Spanish, highlighting how students in SFUSD are able to learn CS skills in ways that are accessible and culturally relevant to their everyday lives.
Four San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) schools have been named California Distinguished Schools: John Yehall Chin Elementary, Gordon J. Lau Elementary, Robert Louis Stevenson Elementary, and Ulloa Elementary.
Students of AccessSFUSD will host and perform in the 11th annual Holiday Sing Along. The program will also feature guest musicians Superintendent Vincent Matthews, remarks by Deputy Superintendent Myong Leigh, ASL interpretations by Jenny Herges, and former State Senator Mark Leno.
