Located in the historic Mission District, George R. Moscone Elementary has a multi-ethnic student body, rich in cultural and linguistic diversity. We have approximately 370 students in grades K-5. We service our diverse student body with programs in Chinese, Spanish and English Language Development. We focus on a rigorous academic program emphasizing language arts, math, science, and social studies, balanced with performing and visual arts.

Come visit! We offer school tours for prospective families every Wednesday from 9:00-9:30 starting September 11. 

We need your help!  The Fall Giving Campaign is a request for monetary donations to fund programs that benefit all Moscone students, including our dance class with Ms. Rebecca and science enrichment with Mission Science Workshop. 

Our goal is to raise $50,000, which breaks down to about $150 per student.  The more the merrier, but every dollar counts!

How to donate:  

1. Donate online 
2. Return cash or check donation to your child’s teacher by using the red donation envelope by September 27th. (Checks payable to Moscone Parents Club.)

Biliteracy Pathway K – 5th grade

Spanish Bilingual & Cantonese Bilingual

In the Biliteracy Pathway, students develop proficiency, literacy and academic competency in both English and the student’s primary language. 

English Language Development K – 5th grade

Intensive English Program

Provides English Language Learners with the opportunity to acquire English and to access the core curriculum.  All instruction is provided in English.

Moscone students participate in a range of programs that enhance their classroom experience.

All students:

• Participate in dance and movement classes throughout the year. 
• Experience hands-on learning through our partnership with Mission Science. 
• Have weekly STEAM classes that encourage critical thinking and communication skills, and aid in sensory development. 
• Attend weekly physical education classes to develop gross motor skills, athleticism, and knowledge of team and individual sports.

4th and 5th graders learn to play an instrument of their choice in instrumental music classes.
