SFUTR Mission and Vision

SFUTR aims to ensure each and every student, with a focus on those who are historically underserved in San Francisco’s public schools, have access to an exceptional education by placing highly qualified and trained teachers in classrooms. We drive impact by partnering with equity-minded universities to recruit, prepare, and mentor residents who are committed to serving schools for the long term and reflect the identities of communities they serve. Plain and simple: We prepare transformative/inquiry minded teachers for SFUSD. 

Our vision is that every graduating resident teacher will embody the skills, habits and mindsets to transform their SFUSD classroom into a learning environment that educates/builds skills, nurtures, and inspires students of diverse backgrounds to achieve their highest potential and to become active contributors to their communities.
