How might we help students celebrate and share their multiple intelligences inside and outside of the classroom?
The reclassification of English Language Learners (ELLs) at César Chávez has been low, and over the past two years it has declined slightly at the school and declined significantly district-wide. Students are reclassified after meeting various linguistic and academic criteria. The design team believes that by using more open-ended, creative and inquiry-based projects in classrooms, students will be more motivated to learn and practice language skills and therefore increase reclassification numbers.
