Bay Area K-12 players are invited to Mechanic's Institute's 2024 San Francisco Scholastic Chess Championship in Golden Gate Park on Saturday, March 30! Whether it’s their first tournament or they're seasoned competitors, young players are welcome to enjoy a fun, full day of chess.

Starting Wednesday, February 21, DoT will be removing two of the Chrome tabs that automatically load upon startup for PreK-2 students. Grades PreK-K devices will also have ScratchJr and Hoopla removed.

As Festival Security or a Festival Nurse, you will be assigned to a Festival Venue in one of six zones for April 27, 2024.

Starting in January 2024 and ending in late March 2024, we are calling on young artists across San Francisco to add art to a collective exhibit celebrating how youth voices are important and must be heard. We are accepting art until Mar. 30.

Please be advised of a formatting issue on 2023 W-2 forms. Box 14 was inadvertently labeled as “Box 14 amount 2” instead of “Union Dues.” This formatting issue does NOT impact the amount paid for union dues. Employees should use the 2023 W-2 that was recently mailed.

BOTVIN LifeSkills Training through helping kids resist drug, alcohol, and tobacco use, the LifeSkills Training Elementary program also effectively supports the reduction of violence and other high-risk behaviors.

A 14-week session seeks to build communication between the parent (or primary caretaker) and the child. Parent and child will each earn a stipend upon completion of the program.
