We are very fortunate to be one of a handful of schools in our district with the recently enhanced Spanish Bi-Literacy Pathway. A child in this pathway typically comes from a native Spanish-speaking household or is Spanish proficient when tested by the district. Unlike in Spanish Immersion, there are no English-only students learning Spanish in the Bi-Literacy Pathway. This gives us the opportunity to focus on the needs of the Spanish bilingual and monolingual students. The goal of the pathway is for each child to leave our school completely bilingual, bi-literate, and bi-cultural.
