Balboa Youth Outreach Workers (YOW's)

December 2023 Update: The YOW program is paused for this school year as we work on improving our program for our students and staff. We will tentatively resume during Fall 2024!

The Balboa Youth Outreach Workers (YOW's) are a small cohort of students that works directly out of the Wellness Center with the CHOW (Community Health Outreach Worker) and the Youth Outreach Coordinator (YOC). 

YOW's collaborate with the CHOW/ YOC on organizing events and presentations reflective of Balboa student needs. They participate in trainings and youth conferences in the bay area. YOW's receive a hourly rate for up to 70 hours for their participation in the program.
