Tupulaga Talavou Tula’i (3T’s) Club
Tupulaga Talavou Tula’i (3T’s) club is an intergenerational cultural enrichment program facilitated by the Samoan Community Development Center (SCDC) designed to build personal and collective interpersonal strength among PI children and youth residing citywide in San Francisco. Using traditional dances and songs, our goal is to provide our youth with life skills that promote resilience; knowledge of their heritage that will inspire.
Meets weekly on Thursdays at Lunch. For questions or interested in joining, come by Wellness and speak with Auxi!
Bal EmpowHer Club
Bal EmpowHER is a group of young women at Balboa High School who stand up for themselves and others by providing a safe space for girl-identified youth and their allies to learn, grow and excel in leadership, communication and self-empowerment. They promote and facilitate conversations about women’s health and rights in their school community.
EmpowHer club meets bi-weekly on Thursdays at lunch. This club is sponsored by Ms.Auxi (Wellness), Ms.Mariana (Counseling) & Ms. Annie (DPH Clinic)
Q-Group at Balboa
Join us as we build a safe community space where we openly talk about LGBTQIA+ identities and history, the importance of creating healthy relationships with boundaries and consent, how to take care of your mental and sexual health and so much more!
This safe space is also a great opportunity to get connected to resources, internships, and supportive mentors/allies. We welcome you to join our Q-Group, where you'll learn and grow, all while exploring and celebrating your unique self.
Q-group will be begin in Mid Jan 2024 until May 2024! Weekly on Tuesdays, with teacher & wellness permission!
Young Mens Health Group
Young Men's Health (YMHG) Group is a weekly Wellness group focused on mental and physical health, for any young men or masculine-of-center non-binary students who are interested.
The group activities and conversations address toxic masculinity, relationships, sex and consent, drugs and risk, social pressure and negotiation, stress and anger, and other topics that come up. $10 per each session youth attend.
If you are interested in participating, please come to Wellness (rm 100) and speak with Auxi.
