Aptos Middle School

VISION: Scholars will exit Aptos with a mastery of the Common Core State Standards, able to display their core knowledge, critical thinking skills, and general academic competency. They will have developed 21st century skills, providing them with an agentic perspective that allows them to navigate and engage in a more inclusive, interconnected, multilingual way. The Aptos Scholar is able to solve “real world” problems with the confidence, freedom, and ability to express their unique selves.

Willie L. Brown Jr. Middle School

At Willie L. Brown Jr. Middle School, students learn to use project-based STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) practices to develop the foundational skills and beliefs needed to successfully major in STEM degrees and pursue STEM careers. Students use technology as a tool to explore their identities, expand their possibilities, and be of service to others.
