Founded in 1994 and located in the southeastern part of San Francisco, Thurgood Marshall Academic High School is a four-year college preparatory high school with a diverse student body.  Our highly dedicated faculty/staff and our active Parent Teacher Student Association believe that every Marshall student should be equipped with  the skills, knowledge, and values needed to make wise college, career, and vocational decisions.

General Information

Construction Manager:  Vanir Construction Management, Inc.

Bid Amount (Hard Cost):  $29.2M

Project Description

Modernization of existing 3-story classroom building and campus, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Voluntary seismic strengthening
  • Access compliance including, but not limited to: Accessible path of travel to accessible building entrance, accessible staff restrooms, accessible casework
  • Fire and life safety work (includes gymnasium and auditorium wing) including new clock/speaker & public address system and minor modification to existing fire alarm system
  • Replace kitchen equipment
  • Upgrade heating and mechanical controls, provide mechanical ventilation at re-purposed spaces.​
