Welcome to Our School
We develop intelligent, conscientious citizens who are prepared for our evolving world. Our school, named after human rights activist Malcolm X, teaches students to advocate for themselves, their community and the world.
Celebrating our Heritage and History
At Malcolm X Elementary, we strive to create a community where students of all cultures and backgrounds feel at home and see themselves reflected among peers, educators, and in the material they learn. Our close-knit community has helped students who felt pushed out elsewhere discover a deep sense of belonging. We celebrate Black, Latinx and Pacific Islander cultures and history and teach our students about innovation and resilience. Our goal is to foster a community and a school culture that reflects our students’ values and honors their heritages and experiences.
We Focus on Academic Growth
Our devoted teachers hold high expectations for our students, because we believe that every student can achieve. At Malcolm X, we want to see every student grow and evolve as they develop a lifelong love of learning. Our students have demonstrated some of the strongest improvements on math scores in the entire district, scoring more than 18 percentage points higher on state mathematics indicators in 2019 than in previous years.
