School Site Council (SSC)

Want a say in the direction the school goes? Link to this section

The School Site Council (SSC) sets academic goals for the school and decides on strategic actions to meet those goals. The SSC solicits teacher, staff, parent/family, and student input and examines data to develop an action plan and budget for the school.

California's Education Code requires that the SSC have a composition that is balanced between school staff and family/community members. Members of the SSC are voted on by their respective peer groups. Terms are 2 years, and elections typically take place in September.

Rosa Parks' SSC meets monthly, on the 3rd Thursday of each month in the library, 5:30 - 7:00 pm. All SSC meetings are open to the public, and the SSC encourages all to attend!
