SFUSD Student Family School Resource Link
The SFUSD Student Family School Resource Link is a cross-departmental project to support students, families, and school staff in navigating all of the SFUSD resources available to them.
How can I access the Student Family School Resource Link?
Students, families, and school staff can access the Student and Family Resource Link in two ways:

- Submit online form at familylink.sfusd.edu
*Hours of operation for the phone will be Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. (closed from 12 to 1 p.m. every day). Phones will be closed on school holidays, including the fall, winter and spring breaks. Callers can still leave a voicemail or send an email or request form at all hours.
What are some topics and questions that the Student Family School Resource Link cover?
Content experts from district departments will respond to a variety of questions including but not limited to:
- Student Enrollment
- How do I enroll in SFUSD for pre-K - 12th grade?
- How can I find the schools and language programs closest to my home?
- Special Education
- I think my child needs an IEP. How do I start the process?
- My child has an IEP and I have questions or concerns about his services- who can help me with that?
- Technology
- I need help with my ParentVUE account.
- I want to re-start text notifications.
- Food & Nutrition
- How can I find or access my letter of eligibility (Free lunch letter) in SchoolCafe.com?
- I have an available balance in my student meal account. Can I request to donate or submit a refund?
- General Support
- How can I reset my ParentVue password?
- How can I uplift my concerns?
- How do I sign up for SchoolMessenger?
In addition, SFUSD staff members can reach the Nurse of the Day using the Student Family School Resource Link.
If I need help in another language other than English, will interpretation be available?
Multilingual content experts or the Translation and Interpretation Unit (TIU) will provide language access as needed. Language assistance is available in Arabic, Cantonese, Mandarin, Filipino, Spanish and Vietnamese. If interpretation needs to be arranged with TIU, more time may be needed to schedule an appointment.
If I call, will I reach a live person?
You may reach a live person, or you may need to leave a voicemail depending on the number of incoming calls. If you leave a voicemail, our goal will be to respond to your call within 48 hours.
If I have three different questions, will I be able to get a response to all three questions at one time?
Depending on the questions, content experts may be able to respond immediately. However, if the content expert does not have the information, they will look into your request and follow up with more information.
