New Student Orientation Welcome Day

Dear Mission Bear Students & Parents! 

We hope you all are enjoying your summer vacations! We are also excited for the new 2023-24 school year, and we look forward to seeing each of you at the upcoming 9th Grade & New Student Orientation Day on Friday, August 11 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Please read our presentation highlights below.  Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon!

 

Orientation Presentation Times:

  • 11:00 a.m. English Presentation
    • Mission High School Auditorium, 1st Floor
  • 11:00 a.m. Presentation in Spanish
    • School Cafeteria, 1st Floor

  • 11:00-11:15 a.m. Opening Welcome by School Administration 
  • 11:15-12:10 p.m. Informational parent sessions presented by student                                              counselors & school programs staff.
  • 11:45-12:15 p.m. Student Tour

Parent Courtesy Reminders!

  • During the parent sessions, student counselors may highlight features in ParentVUE, so we ask that you please bring along your cellphones and ear devices to be able to hear and view information. 
  • If you need to sign up for ParentVUE, please do so a week before the event. If you have an account, please remember to update your phone number or home address, if recently changed.
  • We also encourage you to also refresh yourself on what ParentVUE offers by checking out the ParentVUE Parent Tutorial 
  • Need Help Opening or Updating your ParentVUE Account?
    • Please contact the SFUSD Family Link Help Desk at (415) 340-1716, and they will assist you with your ParentVUE Account needs.
  • Translation services will be provided in Spanish and Chinese during the event. We ask that you bring your cell phone and earbud devices to hear the interpreters.
  • If you need assistance in another language, please email your request by July 25 to our school Parent Coordinator, Ms. Varnado, at Varnadob@sfusd.edu 
  • Parking may be limited in the school parking lot so please be sure to plan ahead.
