School Lunch Hero Day is Friday, May 5. It’s time to remind our food heroes and sheroes how special they are. Join us in saying THANK YOU to all our Dining Staff and Cafeteria Monitors! It takes a team to keep students nourished at school and ready to learn. We thank all the hands and hearts who have worked so hard to make mealtimes special for students.

Student Nutrition Services invites you to get creative and celebrate in any of these ways:

  • Make a card in any language! Deliver to your dining staff or Cafeteria Monitor when you pick up your Breakfast or Lunch next week.

  • Make a poster with your class or school club to show the Dining Staff or Cafeteria Monitor how much you appreciate them.

  • On Friday May 5, post a photo or video on social media honoring your Dining Staff or Cafeteria Monitor for #SchoolLunchHeroDay #SchoolLunchHeroDay23 #SchoolLunchadores. Tag us @sfusdschoolfood.
