Dear Hoover Students and Families,  

 

Materials Distribution Next Week: During the week of August 31st, students will have an opportunity to come to Hoover, in the lower parking lot in front of the school, to pick up materials such as workbooks, supplemental textbooks, and other supplies. Returning 7th graders and 8th graders may bring back textbooks from last year or books that they previously checked out from the Learning Commons, and they will have an opportunity to quickly clear out their lockers from last year. It is not a requirement for students to come, since they will have digital access to their core curriculum. However, this will be one of the few opportunities to pick up supplemental materials. Students are encouraged to come on the day and time that their advisory teacher is listed below (For example, students in Mr. Zeeman’s advisory are encouraged to come on Monday, 8/31 between 3:00 and 4:00 pm). All students who come to school to pick up materials during an online class will be marked PRESENT for their attendance. If you are not able to come during your listed time, you may come at a different time and we will still be able to accommodate you. If you are still in need of technology, you may come on any of the three days next week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) between 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm to pick up a device.  

 

 

Instrument Distribution: Students in Mr. Woodcock and Mr. Villa’s band and orchestra classes should refer to communications sent by their teachers to inform them when to arrive at Hoover next week to pick up their instruments.

Multipurpose Income Form and Meals for Students:

The Multipurpose Family Income form for the 20-21 school year is available online at sfusd.edu/MFIF. The form is available in English, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, Tagalog and Vietnamese. For assistance, please reach out to SNS at 415-749-3604 or SchoolLunch@sfusd.edu. Be sure to complete the Multipurpose Form as soon as possible. This is one way that our school receives funding to be able to support student materials, activities, and events. Beginning August 19, meals will be available to SFUSD students only. This change is due to federal USDA policies. Families must provide the student’s barcode for their meal account when picking up meals. Each student’s barcode will be mailed to households by August 18. View the list of sites and schedules at sfusd.edu/schoolfood. Free meals are available to students who qualify or attend CEP schools. If your student is not eligible for free or reduced-price meals, $22.50 per bag containing 5 days of meals and snacks, will be charged to their SchoolCafe account. Distribución de materiales la próxima semana: Durante la semana del 31 de Agosto, los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de venir a Hoover para recoger materiales como libros de trabajo, libros de texto complementarios y otros suministros. Los estudiantes que regresan al Séptimo y Octavo grado pueden traer libros de texto del año pasado o libros que sacaron previamente de Learning Commons (biblioteca), y tendrán la oportunidad de limpiar rápidamente sus casilleros del año pasado. 

No es un requisito que los estudiantes asistan, ya que tendrán acceso digital a su plan de estudios básico. Sin embargo, esta será una de las pocas oportunidades para recoger materiales complementarios.Se anima a los estudiantes a venir el día y la hora en que su Maestro de Asesoría se enumera a continuación (por ejemplo, se anima a los estudiantes en el asesoramiento del Sr. Zeeman a venir el Lunes 31 de Agosto entre las 3:00 y las 4:00 pm). Formulario de Ingresos Multipropósito y Comidas para estudiantes:

下週分發學校材料：在8月31日這一個星期，學生將有機會來胡佛學校領取例如課堂筆記本，教科書和其他材料。到時會在學校外面停車場派發。七年級和八年級學生可以將去年的教科書或他們以前從學習中心借的書本帶回學校歸還，同時他們亦有短暫的機會可以清理去年儲物櫃內的東西。不規定學生一定要返校，因為學生已有網上學習資源能使用。但是，這次會是以後為數不多的能到學校領取學習用品的機會之一。建議學生依照下面所列出其班主任所安排的日期和時間來學校（例如，建議班主任是Mr. Zeeman的學生在8月31日（星期一）3:00至4:00 pm到學校）。來學校領取物資期間，學生的出席記錄都將會標記為“出席”。如果學生無法在列出的時間內到學校，他們在其他時間來也可以，學校依然會提供所需材料。如果學生還需要電子設備，則可以在下週一，週三，週五任何一日12:00 pm-4:00 pm之間來領取。
