Dear Hoover Students and Families,  

 

Virtual Meetings This Week: All families are invited to join us for the following family orientation meetings this week with family liaisons and administrators. Learn more about our bell schedule and distance learning:

 

Multipurpose Income Form and Meals for Students:

The Multipurpose Family Income form for the 20-21 school year is available online at sfusd.edu/MFIF. The form is available in English, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, Tagalog and Vietnamese. For assistance, please reach out to SNS at 415-749-3604 or SchoolLunch@sfusd.edu. Be sure to complete the Multipurpose Form as soon as possible. This is one way that our school receives funding to be able to support student materials, activities, and events. Beginning August 19, meals will be available to SFUSD students only. This change is due to federal USDA policies. Families must provide the student’s barcode for their meal account when picking up meals. Each student’s barcode will be mailed to households by August 18. View the list of sites and schedules at sfusd.edu/schoolfood. Free meals are available to students who qualify or attend CEP schools. If your student is not eligible for free or reduced-price meals, $22.50 per bag containing 5 days of meals and snacks, will be charged to their SchoolCafe account. Learn more and apply at sfusd.edu/MFIF. 

 

Technology Expectations:

Parents, if you have questions for your student's teachers, we encourage you to reach out to them via email and/or scheduling a time to meet/speak with them.  Please remember that class time and office hours are for students only. We encourage students to use their SFUSD issued device when logging in to classes. This ensures students have access to all applications used during class time. If you are having trouble with your device or need a device, please complete this form. This information will be shared with our technology specialists at Hoover. We will schedule one more technology distribution make-up day during the week of August 31st. 

 

Attendance: Is your student going to miss a class?

  • Have your student email all of his/her/their teachers
  • Have your student attend office hours
  • Be sure to turn in the day's assignments by 11:59pm
  • Submit any doctor's notes to Ms. Nastor at nastorc@sfusd.edu

Formulario de ingresos multipropósito y comidas para estudiantes:

El formulario de ingresos familiares multipropósito para el año escolar 20-21 está disponible en línea en sfusd.edu/MFIF. El formulario está disponible en inglés, árabe, chino, español, tagalo y vietnamita. Para obtener ayuda, comuníquese con SNS al 415-749-3604 o SchoolLunch@sfusd.edu. Asegúrese de completar el formulario multipropósito lo antes posible. Esta es una forma en que nuestra escuela recibe fondos para poder apoyar los materiales, actividades y eventos de los estudiantes.
