STEPHANIE NGUYEN
Hello CISDA Community! I am super excited to be a part of this amazing community and am looking forward to a wonderful school year!
I am a product of SFUSD public school education and so are my kids as they continue on with their journey. My mom immigrated from Vietnam with me in tow and was sponsored to live with a family in New Jersey, and that is where I was born. I moved here from New Jersey in second grade and have been here ever since. Growing up, Vietnamese was my primary language and still is today. I attended the neighborhood schools in my area and for college stayed put in San Francisco. I graduated from University of San Francisco (USF) with my teaching credential and master's degree.
Prior to being an Instructional Coach, I was a third grade classroom teacher for 13 years and loved every bit of it. Along the way, I've met so many awesome families and have gained a better sense of being compassionate, present, empathetic, loving, and caring for the people I come in contact with and I hope people feel that. Being a multilingual learner myself, I feel that I can connect with families, students, and staff on a more personal level. I look forward to learning and hearing about your "stories."
