Overview

  • Argonne Early Education School offers Prekindergarten (PK) and Transitional Kindergarten (TK). Click here to find out more about TK eligibility and enrollment.

    Our mission at Argonne Early Education School is to protect and honor childhood as well as to respect children’s insatiable appetite for joyful learning. We focus on children’s competencies in a play-based intentionally designed learning environment to ensure successful learning outcomes in all areas of development.

    Teaching and learning at Argonne Early Education School stems from our seeing children as members of a family, culture and community thereby drawing strength from the “Funds of Knowledge” they bring to us.

Programs

  • After School Programs

    The SFUSD Early Education Department administers the Out-of-School Time (OST) program at several SFUSD sites. These enrichment classes are held after school hours with full day sessions available during Spring and Summer breaks. OST classes are open to students from any elementary school as long as they meet the age requirements (grades TK-5). Qualifying families may take advantage of subsidized tuition depending on family size and gross income

  • Social-Emotional and Culture Climate Report

    SFUSD annually surveys families and school staff on a range of school climate indicators that have been found to predict positive student academic achievement. The social-emotional learning of students in grades 4-12 is also assessed.
