At Spring Valley Science, we provide a challenging, future-oriented education emphasizing science, critical thinking, communication and problem solving skills. All state standards are taught in our rigorous curriculum.

Starr King Elementary School is a lively, student-centered and ethnically diverse community located atop Potrero Hill. We offer four programs to incoming families: Transitional-Kindergarten, General Education (EXL Program), Mandarin Immersion and and a Moderate-Severe Autism-focused Special Day Class. Our student body of 340 students is supported by more than 50 staff members in 20 engaging classrooms, and a robust after school program.

Our mission to guide the development of a well-rounded human being who has the ability, skills, and attitude to contribute positively to self, family, community, and society. Sunnyside Elementary School is a small neighborhood school with a diverse student body and a focused, hardworking staff. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive education that will develop students who are well prepared to succeed in the complex society of the 21st century. We believe that every child must get what he or she needs academically, socially, and emotionally in order to succeed. This will not be equal, as each child has his or her own specific needs, and will require being stimulated, supported, and challenged at different levels and in different ways in order to be successful.

We are committed to providing the highest academic standards in a safe and nurturing environment that affords all students the opportunity to succeed in the 21st century. Sunset community takes advantage of every opportunity to refine school practices so that everyone can learn, achieve, and succeed together. Teachers embrace best teaching practices to stay abreast of Common Core State Standards, interdisciplinary teaching strategies, differentiation for all learners, and professional academic learning.

Sutro Elementary provides a strong academic program within a family-oriented atmosphere for our diverse student population. We commit ourselves to ensuring that all students, regardless of their ethnicity, socio-economic status, gender, or ability level, will enjoy an equal opportunity to succeed in school. At Sutro, we believe that a safe, secure school environment, collaboration, and cooperation all enhance the learning experience for each of our students. After-school opportunities include homework supported by after-school programs, piano, Mandarin and coding classes.

Tenderloin Community School (TCS) is a unique PreK-5th Grade public elementary school with community resources located right on the school complex. The school is made up of a District Child Development Center for 3 and 4 year olds, the K-5 elementary school, and community resources including a dental clinic. The staff is committed to working with families and utilizing all available resources to provide students with the best integrated program possible.

The Academy offers a rigorous and relevant curriculum to meet the needs of our diverse student body. All students complete their a-g requirements during their 4 years and graduate college-eligible. Thanks to a partnership with CCSF, many of our graduates also graduate already having earned transferable college credits.

Every Academy student receives college counseling all four years supported through our two full-time academic counselor and full-time college counselors.
