Home of the Bulldogs! We are a diverse, comprehensive middle school in the heart of Noe Valley with a thriving Spanish Immersion and Visual and Performing Arts Program.
Our Vision: The James Lick Middle School community will work passionately to provide all students the relevant experiences necessary to fully develop their true, authentic selves and to prepare them for whatever challenges lay ahead. JLMS students will use their strengths, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to become successful agents of change within their diverse communities.

Jamestown Community Center supports the after-school program offered at JLMS. During the 2018/2019 school year, JLMS launched our first year as a Beacon site with increased academic and enrichment programs both in our after-school program and during the school day. -

School Accountability Highlights
Published annually by SFUSD to provide access to key data points and three-year trends related to student achievement and school culture-climate. The highlights are available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Filipino, and Vietnamese.

Social-Emotional and Culture Climate Report
SFUSD annually surveys families and school staff on a range of school climate indicators that have been found to predict positive student academic achievement. The social-emotional learning of students in grades 4-12 is also assessed.

School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA)
School communities gather twice a year to review data and previous actions in order to intentionally plan for the coming months. The School Plan for Student Achievement is the template on which this review and stakeholder engagement process is codified.
