Vaccines Needed for 7th Grade!

Dear Parent/Guardian of SFUSD 6th Graders:  California law requires that all 7th graders show evidence of having had: 

• Tdap vaccine before the first day of 7th grade and 

• 2nd chicken pox vaccine*

If your child needs these vaccines, or any other vaccines, they can receive it from their health provider or community clinic. Please submit evidence of these shots to the school, so your child can start 7th grade on the first day of school and avoid the loss of school days. If the school does not have evidence of your child having Tdap and varicella vaccination by the beginning of 7th grade, your child may be excluded per state law.
