Jodi is Downtown High School's Wellness Coordinator and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. As the Wellness Coordinator/School Social Worker, Jodi is in charge of implementing, coordinating and supervising the Wellness team that manages a majority of the mental health services at the school. Jodi earned her Masters degree from Cal State East Bay School of Social Work. Jodi has worked in the SF Unified School District for over 20 years and began as a classroom aide. She previously worked at Thurgood Marshall High School, McAteer High School and ER Taylor Elementary School. Jodi has found her "home" in the Downtown High community and believes that Downtown High is a hidden gem for students and their families offering a true alternative, high quality education and authentic, caring support for each student who enrolls.

My name is Lawrence Festin and I am the Community Health Outreach Worker at Downtown High School. My role as a CHOW is to connect the students and school to community based organizations, opportunities and resources. I was born in the Philippines and raised in New Jersey and the Bay Area. I am an avid fan of Hiphop, art, and nerdy things. I received my BS at San Francisco State in Political Science with a minor in Ethnic Studies and have been working on my MA in Ethnic Studies for way too long. When I am not working (and not in lockdown) I enjoy hiking, fishing, going to concerts, cooking, and checking out art galleries/museums.
