               *ELPAC TEST COORDINATOR AND INITIAL ELPAC PHASE II DESIGNEE MEETINGS AND ORIENTATIONS

INITIAL ELPACMAKEUP MANDATORY AUGUST TEST COORDINATOR MEETING: STEPS ARE HERE.                     MANDATORY August Meeting - Training for Initial ELPAC is mandated by the state. All those administering Initial ELPAC must be trained annually.  PRIOR YEAR'S TRAININGS DO NOT COUNT. This training qualifies the attendee to administer group domains and to train others on site as needed. 
INITIAL ELPAC PHASE IIMAKEUP DESIGNEE ORIENTATION MEETING STEPS ARE HERE.                                                                                      Non Newcomer schools administer both group domains AND  1:1 domains. Phase II Designee is assigned by site administrator via this ASSIGNMENT FORM -After designee is assigned, they need to complete the Orientation linked above.

SUMMATIVE ELPACAnnual test of ALL English Learners - February 3-May 31 - 2025 Registration is  Here                                 January Test Coordinator Meetings:  Tues., Jan 14, 2025 - 10:00 - 12:30 (virtual).  Thurs., Jan 16, 2025 - 1:00 - 3:30 In Person - Location to be announced

*INITIAL ELPAC: ADMINISTERED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND  HAS TWO PHASES: PHASE I:  August - October 31, 2024 Administration of Initial ELPAC (managed by Testing coordinator).  -    PHASE II:  November - May (managed by testing coordinator and Phase II designee) Note: TC and PH II designee can be the same person or the PH II designee can be another staff member monitored by the TC. 

SUMMATIVE ELPAC: ADMINISTERED FEBRUARY - MAY, ANNUALLY         

ELPAC Administrator/Examiners must be SFUSD employees who:

  • Are fluent in English.                              
  • Have received 2024-25 ELPAC Administration Training from Achievement Assessments Office or the school's test coordinator. (Initial and Summative ELPAC are comprised of two separate trainings. One does not count for the other.)
    • Phase II designee must have supplemental 1:1 certification/s for applicable domains of Initial ELPAC
  • Signed a Test Security Affidavit in the TOMS testing platform
  • Alternate ELPAC examiners must be SFUSD teachers
