The Richmond Neighborhood Center
The Richmond Neighborhood Center after school programs provide elementary aged youth and their families with affordable after school environments that are safe, fun, enriching in the arts, academically enhancing and culturally relevant. The program serves approximately 140 students at George Peabody as well as five other locations (Alamo, Argonne, Lafayette, and Frank McCoppin). To register, please sign up via our website at richmondsf.org.
The Richmond Neighborhood Center’s Peabody team works with partners and Peabody community members to deliver the highest quality after school program for you and your family.
The daily program includes: Academic and Homework Support, Enrichment classes including Multicultural art, STEAM, and Recreational play. Students are provided with a daily snack and social time with friends. Staff are trained to lead with social emotional learning and provide restorative practices. The Program Manager works closely with the school day Social Worker to help provide extra support and counseling services.
"There is no other after school program that compares to The Richmond Neighborhood Center’s program. It is affordable, organized, structured, and provides educational support and extracurricular exposure to the arts. There is genuine care at this program - the people really care! As a parent and teacher I see the great value and benefits of your program." - The Richmond Neighborhood Center parent
