Conference Week continues all week! (11/18-11/22)
Students are dismissed at 12:50pm ALL WEEK.
*Mission Graduates After School Program - early dismissal all week - pick up by 5:00pm*
If you missed your conference, reach out to your teacher or Ms. Melissa to reschedule!
Here are some tip sheets for families about conferences: English Espanol
- You can view your child's report card on ParentVue. There are technical issues with ParentVue. Report cards should be visible in the next week.
- Create a list of questions beforehand so you are prepared.
- Each conference is about 20 minutes - be on time to maximize your time with your teacher

December 4th- ITIN & Taxes Workshop
MPN invites you Wednesday, December 4th at 8:00 am, in the family bungalow to a workshop designed to help families better understand the process of taxes, and the benefits of filing your taxes and having an ITIN.
December 11th - Parent Cooking Class
Join us for a parent cooking class offered by Urban Sprouts! 8:00-9:00am on Devember 11th in the family bungalow.
Parents will learn about healthy choices while preparing a delicious meal. The cooking lesson will be in Spanish but all families are welcome to build community and enjoy yummy food!
December 11th - PTA Meeting (via ZOOM)
Join the PTA meeting from home! The meeting will be virtual on zoom 7:00-8:00pm

December 17th - ELAC Meeting
ELAC for Parents of English Learners, 8:00-9:00am in the family bungalow!
We will be talking about English learner development (ELD) curriculum at Flynn.
Breakfast included.

Flynn's 2nd annual Holiday Wish Drive
The holiday season is a time for celebration and togetherness, but it can also be a challenging period for families facing financial hardships. By contributing to our Holiday Wish Drive, you can help create special moments of joy, warmth, and hope for some of our Flynn families.
How to donate:
- Go to Bit.ly/FlynnWishlist2024 or scan QR code on the flyer to choose any item(s) to purchase from our Holiday Wishlist on Amazon.
- During check out, choose “Melissa Alvarez- Flynn” so packages will be sent straight to Flynn to be wrapped!

Shop Flynnda's Closet Link to this section
Flynnda's Closet (located in family bungalow in the front yard) is open every morning after drop off - 7:45-9:00am or whenever you see Ms. Melissa present! There are clothes for the whole family - kids, babies, adults - as well as shoes, house hold items, and food. Everything is free of cost. All families are welcome to come by and take what they need.

TK Families
Flynn TK students will auto filter into the English Kindergarten class (no applications needed).
If you are a Flynn TK student that would like to be in Spanish Immersion kindergarten, you need to re-apply!

VISIT - School tours are the best way to learn more about other schools and talk to staff who work there.

If a student will remain at home, the parent/ guardian/caregiver must communicate with the school in one of the following ways before or on the day of the absence:
