Welcome to Argonne! Link to this section
I am thrilled to introduce myself as the principal of Argonne Elementary School. I am deeply honored for the opportunity to work with exceptional staff and families that make up this remarkable school community.
I come to Argonne with 22+ years of experience in public education. My career in K-12 began in Portland Public Schools with a variety of roles including a classroom teacher, language development specialist, instructional coach, and president of the largest teacher’s union in the Pacific Northwest. In addition, I continued to hone my management skills as a director in two large nonprofits in Los Angeles, and recently earned my doctorate in Educational Leadership.
A few years ago, my wife and I moved to San Francisco and last month we purchased a condo near Japantown. When not working, we love to walk our dog Jojo, hike and bike in the hills of Marin, and swim in the bay.
Throughout my career, I have always been driven by a deep commitment to the well-being and academic achievement of every student. I firmly believe that every child can succeed, and I am eager to work with the dedicated staff at Argonne to ensure that all of our students receive the support they need to thrive. Learning is a social endeavor, and I am excited to support Argonne’s focus on experiential and project-based learning.
I am committed to maintaining the high standards of academic excellence that have been established at Argonne. I will work collaboratively with staff, students, and families to continue building a strong, supportive school culture that prioritizes the needs of all students.
I look forward to getting to know every member of the Argonne community and together we will continue to create a bright future for our students. I am eager to take this journey with all of you as a proud member of the Wolfpack.
Sincerely,
Dr. Rebecca Levison
