I am Ms. Aldama and I am the School Social Worker. I am a born and raised Angeleno and a proud dodger fan. I live in San Francisco with my other half, Pepito, who is a small, but mighty, 3 y/o shih-tzu. In my free time I love to read & take care of my beautiful plants and dog. This is my second year at Malcolm X and I am the proud mentor of the Student Council. I am excited to see what this year brings us!

Brandon Ahlstrom is the School District Nurse for Malcolm X Academy. Brandon received his Masters Degree in Nursing from San Francisco State University. He has served children and families through public education for 12 years.

I am Shaina Madfes (she/her) and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #115920). I joined the MXA family in Fall of 2023 as a mental health therapist with Seneca’s Unconditional Education program. I have been working in community mental health in San Francisco since 2018 and am passionate about helping kiddos find their inner gem. I believe in exploring emotional wellbeing by taking a 360° view of kiddos’ strengths, resources, and needs.  I believe that our Cheetahs are the most sparkly with the support of their loved ones and community, so I hope to get to know you very soon and find out how we can work together. On a personal note, I LOVE nature and can often be found hitting the trails with my dog, Honey. I am also an avid baker, indoor gardener, and tv viewer. Please come find me on campus and say hi!
