We are currently on summer break, and will not return until August 19. We look forward to welcoming your family to our school this fall!

SUMMER STUDENT LEARNING RESOURCES

IXL: Math and Language Arts Instruction and online learning program/tutoring support 

  • FREE and accessible on SFUSD chromebooks 
  • K-12 grade curriculum 
  • Supports math and language arts work/learning in a game type setting that targets students at their present levels
  • Builds into their zones of proximal development. 

Amira Virtual Tutoring 

  • FREE online tutoring resource accessible and available on SFUSD Chromebooks 
  • AI Artificial Intelligence tutor who 
  • provides lessons and assesses students by giving direct feedback on phonics, words, and reading passages. 
  • This platform offers ongoing SUPPLEMENTAL TUTORING support to students in foundational and reading skills. 
  • The platform is available in English and Spanish.

Back on Track 

  • Offers free weekly one on one tutoring and academic mentorship to students grade k-12 
  • Activities and field trips are offered

San Francisco Public Library 

The Bridge
  • Literacy and Learning Center that can help you find resources, classes, and tutoring available for free through the public library 

  • available programs include: tech classes, reading and tutoring for youth, ESL tutoring

FOG Readers
  • reading remediation program that helps struggling readers in grades 1-4. 
  • The program breaks reading and spelling down into smaller skills involving letters and sounds. 
  • It is a phonetically based, sequential, structured approach that uses multisensory techniques – this means tutors use sight, hearing, touch, and movement to help learners connect language with letters and sounds.  
  • Will match your student with a trained tutor to meet once a week for 45 minutes to an hour.
ESL Tutoring
  • Tutors and Learners are paired together for 6 months.
  • They meet once a week for 1 to 2 hours per session.

  • Your volunteer tutor will help you improve your English language skills to achieve your personal goals.
