Kindergarten Orientation

Dear ER Taylor Kindergarten Family:

 

We are so excited to welcome you to our school community.  We know that you and your child must be getting excited for school to begin, and you may still have a number of questions about the first day and first few weeks.   We also know that you may have participated in our initial Kindergarten Orientation in the spring, when we welcomed families to our school and shared a lot of important Kindergarten readiness information.   

Whether or not you were able to participate in that event, we would like to invite you to come to ER Taylor, on Tuesday, August 15th at 10:00 AM, to meet your student’s teacher and learn specific information that will help you and them have a smooth first day of school, and a wonderful school year.   This includes, learning where their line up spot is on our lower playground, touring their actual classroom, and hearing directly from their teacher, about their classroom expectations and ways you can be strong educational partners throughout the year.

Please join us in our school cafeteria (by entering through our Bacon Street gate) for a short welcome, and then all families will go to your student’s classroom for a brief teacher presentation.  We will wrap up on our playground for a quick game to help students learn their line up spot.  After this event, we know your student will be ready to start school the following day on August 16th.  We will also have a uniform sale taking place at that time, so if you are interested, you can purchase ER Taylor uniform shirts and hoodies. 

We hope to see you there, and again, welcome to ER Taylor Elementary!

Estimada familia de jardín de infantes de ER Taylor:

 

Estamos muy emocionados de darle la bienvenida a nuestra comunidad escolar. Sabemos que usted y su hijo deben estar emocionados por el comienzo de la escuela, y es posible que aún tenga varias preguntas sobre el primer día y las primeras semanas. También sabemos que es posible que haya participado en nuestra orientación inicial de jardín de infantes en la primavera, cuando dimos la bienvenida a las familias a nuestra escuela y compartimos mucha información importante sobre la preparación para el jardín de infantes.

Ya sea que haya podido participar o no en ese evento, nos gustaría invitarlo a venir a ER Taylor, el martes 15 de agosto a las 10:00 AM., para conocer al maestro de su hijo y aprender información específica que lo ayudará a usted y a ellos. que tenga un buen primer día de clases y un maravilloso año escolar. Esto incluye, aprender dónde está su lugar de formación en nuestro patio de recreo inferior, recorrer su salón de clases real y escuchar directamente de su maestro, sobre las expectativas de su salón de clases y las formas en que pueden ser socios educativos sólidos durante todo el año.

Únase a nosotros en la cafetería de nuestra escuela (ingresando por nuestra puerta de Bacon Street) para una breve bienvenida, y luego todas las familias irán al salón de clases de su hijo para una breve presentación del maestro.
