Seven hundred twenty-three San Francisco Unified School District graduates (or more than 20 percent) were awarded a Seal of Biliteracy, a 33 percent increase from last year.

SFUSD's Black Stars program aims to increase African-American student exposure to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and prepare incoming high school freshmen to stay on track for graduation.
