National Board Certified Teachers

As a National Board-Certified Teacher (NBCT), you may qualify for significant incentives:

1. California NBPTS Certification Incentive Program
   • Starting July 1, 2021, California offers a $25,000 incentive for NBCTs teaching in high-priority schools.
   • To apply, visit: CDE Incentive Application.
   • Deadline: January 31, 2025, at 4 p.m.
   • Please note that this incentive is not automatically awarded—you must apply to be eligible.
2. SFUSD Incentive
   • SFUSD provides a $5,000 annual incentive for NBCTs, disbursed in two installments: $2,500 in January and $2,500 in June.
   • Eligibility requirements:
     • Hold a current certification.
     • Work at least 75% of the semester you are claiming the incentive.
   • Newly certified NBCTs will qualify for their first disbursement ($2,500) in June 2025, for the Spring 2025 semester.
