"Lyn is very supportive to both the students and adults at Willie Brown. They are a great listener and share their perspective & experiences. They make students feel seen and heard. They show positivity, comfort in working with youth, easy goingness, wiling to support wherever needed, are a team player, and they are all around AWESOME!"
"Ashley is a team player and is always willing to help out in whatever is needed at Paul Revere. She is amazing with students all the way from K-8. Students notice on the day she's out and ask where she is because her presence is missed. She makes coming to work easier because of all the support she gives to Wellness. For these reasons and many more Ashley is AWESOME!"
"Grace is the most wonderful human on campus. She is loved & cherished by the children, families and staff at Bryant Elementary. She is a creative genius, arts teacher, stuffed animal-giver, Kimochi-centered, BIPOC/queer/ "homey"/superstar of the year!"
"Elijah's work on Sheridan Elementary's mentoring program has been nothing but amazing. Elijah has been leading well organized and planned monthly activities that both students and mentors enjoy. He also has increased the number of students that are being mentored at Sheridan. He is affable, kind, seeks opportunities to connect with all of the students and sets boundaries that work."
"Peri is amazing! They are so thoughtful, creative and compassionate in every aspect of their work. They have started to build a peer mentoring program at SF Community and have made strong connections with the students. Peri is very much a part of the school's community & SF Community feels honored to have Peri on its team!"
"Ike is amazing and awesome! She is like a breath of fresh air. She is so kind, flexible, and student-centered. Her site supervisor at Cleveland Elementary is so proud of her, and is so happy that she is going into social work. She will be an amazing social worker."
"Sonia is a valued member of Dolores Huerta Elementary. The students love tinkering with her at Maker's Space, exchanging their plumas for rewards at Tiendita, and doing her amazing craft activities in our mentoring program! Her schools thank her for all the joy and curiosity she inspires in their students."
"Bianca is a a valued member of our central team! As a 2nd year AmeriCorps member, Bianca knows firsthand the demands of being at a school site. By supporting centrally, she is seen as a leader among her peers and has provided endless support to the Mentoring for Success program. Bianca is an absolute superstar!"
"Gabe is AWESOME because he comes in with positive energy every time he walks through the door. Gabe is always looking for ways to help out and goes above and beyond to help achieve daily goals to help students succeed. Gabe even volunteered to accompany his Project Arrive group on a field trip on his day off. Gabe is a leader, always taking initiative to lead by example."
"Ms. Nicole is an integral part of ER Taylor's wellness team. Not only does she run a very successful mentoring program, with very thoughtful and fun monthly activities, she also mentors two students, started both a Rainbow Club and a Boys Group and runs our Panda PRIDE PBIS Trading Post once a week."
"Nathalie has really rocked both Sanchez's and Rosa Parks' mentoring events. She is very thoughtful in planning activities and rocking out fun events. She has also been super helpful in supporting students' participation in their class."
"Laura is thoughtful about how to best support students and wants to make Lunch Bunch fun for all students! Her contributions to Guadalupe Elementary, George Peabody Elementary, and her AmeriCorps cohort's team days are appreciated by all who have had the chance to work with her."
