The mission of the Arts Equity Committee (AEC) is to advance social justice and student equity in arts education across SFUSD.

What is Social Justice? 

The fair and unbiased treatment of all people in a society, with respect for the lives and rights of marginalized communities, and equitable distribution of resources.

Students and Families-

We aspire to provide all the resources necessary to create art, including materials, and engaging multicultural curriculum. Students can share their voices by filling out our survey

Employees

To achieve our goals for students and families, we will ensure that teachers have access to in-depth training in key areas (anti-racism, social justice, multiculturalism). We will also work to actively recruit a more diverse team of arts educators.
