Dedicated core substitutes provide daily coverage exclusively at their assigned school site.
What is my pay rate?
Dedicated core subs are paid via the certificated salary scale. The salary schedule for Dedicated Core subs fall under either option of: B6, B7, B8, C6, C7, and C8. Salary is determined by your education and experience. A Dedicated Core sub is required to complete the verification of previous experience form.

How do I set up my Direct Deposit?
To enroll in direct deposit, please complete the direct deposit authorization form attached in the link below and return it to the Payroll Department. Please note that it will take two pay periods for the direct deposit to be fully processed.
You can find the direct deposit authorization form on the Payroll website or download directly here. This form may need to be downloaded to fill and complete. Please ensure to submit the form in person to the Payroll Department.

What is the process of renewing my Tuberculosis (TB) test and credential/permit?
TB: All new substitutes are required to submit a negative TB Risk assessment or negative TB test dated within 60 days of your hire date and 4 every year thereafter from your test date. A copy of the assessment or the negative TB test can be sent to substitutes@sfusd.edu
Credential/Permit: All new substitutes are required to have either a 30-day sub permit or a credential. You are required to renew your permit/credential every year (if applicable). You can follow the instructions on the CTC website to renew your documents. Once they are renewed, please send a copy of your permit/credential to substitutes@sfusd.edu.
