Introduction to the Family Announcements Bulletin (FAB)

We want to welcome our new SFUSD families and welcome back our returning SFUSD families! 

For our new SFUSD families, we want to introduce you to the Family Announcements Bulletin (FAB): 

About FAB

• The Family Announcements Bulletin (FAB) is a weekly family newsletter that goes out every Thursday evening. 
• FAB is an email summary of all public website announcements posted in the previous week. 
  • Announcements could include, but not limited to the following: 
    • Important notices from SFUSD departments 
    • Upcoming holidays
    • Messages from the Superintendent
    • Student/Family opportunities from community organizations, including after school programs, summer programs, or weekend activities 
    • Scholarship opportunities 
• FAB will be in English, but it will have links to Google Translated versions of public website announcements in:
  • Spanish
  • Chinese
  • Vietnamese
  • Arabic
  • Tagalog
  • Samoan
  • Korean
  • Japanese
  • Russian 

How am I receiving FAB? 

• Families who have included their email address in ParentVUE/Synergy, will automatically receive FAB unless they unsubscribe. 

2023-24 Publication Dates (Expected) 

• Every Thursday evening during the school year except: 
  • Nov. 23 (Thanksgiving) 
  • Dec. 28 (Winter Recess) 
  • Jan. 4 (Winter Recess)
