T(w)een Winter Read 2022

Cozy up with a book over Winter Break. It’s time for T(w)een Winter Read, the best tween and teen winter reading program in the Bay Area! For ages 10-18.

How do I sign up?

T(w)een Winter Read starts Dec. 1, 2022 and finishes Jan. 10, 2023. Join our challenge on Beanstack.

What are the steps?

1. Register on Beanstack or grab a reading log at one of our 25 participating libraries.
2. Track minutes and earn virtual badges to complete ten hours of reading, complete the SFPL Explorer Map or engage in activity time.
3. Read in a variety of formats from print to electronic and a range of genres from graphic novels and manga to science fiction. Reading to your dog, cat or plant counts!

And the prizes?

• All registrants can pick up a free book.
• Finishers can pick up a Museum of Craft and Design MakeArt kit at participating locations starting December 16, while supplies last.   
• BEANSTACK BONUS: Write a 250-word review of a book, program or craft kit on Beanstack. Every qualifying review counts as a raffle entry for a chance to win a $500 deposit into a Kindergarten To College or ScholarShare account. Winners will be randomly chosen every week during the T(w)een Winter Read program, and must live or go to school in San Francisco.
