Announcement Message

Eligible SFUSD non-citizen parents, guardians, and caregivers have the right to participate in the upcoming School Board Election: 

1) Review the Eligibility Requirements

If you are not a U.S. citizen, you must meet all the requirements below to vote in the upcoming School Board election: 

  • Resident of San Francisco
  • At least 18 years old on February 15, 2022
  • Parent, legal guardian, or caregiver of a child under 19 who lives in San Francisco
  • Not currently found mentally incompetent to vote by a court
  • Not in state or federal prison for a felony conviction

​​​​​​​2) Register by January 31, 2022

Visit bit.ly/SFimmigrantvote to print the Non-Citizen Voter Registration Form and return it to the Department of Elections by mail or in person at City Hall.

3) Vote by February 15, 2022

Decide how to vote: by mail or in-person at the City Hall Voting Center or a polling place.

Eligible voters that miss the registration deadline can still vote on election day by casting a provisional ballot at the City Hall Voting Center or their assigned polling place.
