SF Board of Education Votes to Create Task Force to Examine SFUSD High Schools

The San Francisco Board of Education approved plans to build a new San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) school in Mission Bay, at a special meeting on Wednesday, June 15.

Today San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) students begin a variety of summer programs to continue their learning. This year summer learning will take place at 92 school sites and other city sites, with the capacity to serve 17,000 students.

The San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) will host all outdoor graduation events this week. For the second year in a row, all high school ceremonies will take place outdoors at Kezar Stadium and the McAteer Campus Stadium. The Class of 2022 includes approximately 4,100 graduates, an increase from 3,700 in the class of 2021.

The San Francisco Board of Education unanimously approved a resolution designating June 19, 2022, and June 19 of each year thereafter, in the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) as a special day of observance in recognition of the emancipation of all enslaved people in the United States.
